Martha Ballesteros-Shakti is an experienced educator, therapist, and life coach with over 35 years of practice in holistic healing. Her integrative practice combines Rapid Eye Therapy, Clinical Hypnotherapy, NLP, and Transformational Coaching, helping individuals release emotional blockages, reconnect with their inner strength, and live with clarity, harmony, and purpose.

For more than four decades, she has led personal empowerment groups worldwide, offering a unique and compassionate approach grounded in deep personal practice and spiritual insight.

Professional Roots & Spiritual Foundation

Martha’s healing journey began in 1972 when she taught Occupational Therapy at the Universidad del Rosario in Bogotá. Her early experiences in monastic environments instilled in her the foundational practices of silence, meditation, and prayer.

At the age of 23, she received direct guidance from spiritual masters, including Osho, who initiated her as a Sannyasin in India. For two decades, she lived, practiced, and taught in Osho Meditation Centers across Europe and India, focusing on integrating meditation and mindfulness into daily life. 

In 1990, she deepened her spiritual path by becoming a student of Ji Kwan Dae Poep Sa Nim, the founder and Supreme Matriarch of the Yun Hwa Denomination of World Social Buddhism.

Resilience, Healing & Mastery

After the tragic loss of her husband in 1990 and a near-death experience following surgery in 1995, Martha sought deeper healing. These pivotal moments inspired her to study with renowned pioneers in NLP, Hypnotherapy, and Rapid Eye Technology, including Jake Eagle, Robert Dilts, Judith Delozier, Robert McDonald, and Dr. Ranae Johnson, transforming her physical, emotional, and spiritual life.

Additionally, she trained with the late Dr. Ann Wigmore, founder of the original Hippocrates Health Institute, becoming an Educator of the Living Foods Lifestyle. This transformative period further solidified her approach to holistic well-being.

A Voice of Wisdom and Transformation

Throughout her career, Martha has been featured in magazines, newspapers, radio, and television, sharing her journey and insights to inspire others toward emotional freedom and self-realization.

She was honored with the Sanskrit name Ma Shakti Devi, which reflects her embodiment of the primordial feminine force of divine creation—the essence she infuses into her work.
