Childhood should be a joyful time in our lives because joy is the inherent quality of our true nature. But childhood is all too often a painful time. During those years, children are conditioned to become something that others want them to be. Experts say that a toddler hears the word "no" four hundred times a day on average. That is not the best way to give the child a strong foundation for their life.
Trauma can come in different ways. For one person, the trauma may be the look given by an angry parent; for another, the feeling of a slap across their body; hearing harsh words from a teacher; or the fetus may pick the confusion, depression, and sadness that their mother is experiencing.

Clinical Hypnotherapy
Martha is a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist with over 500 hours of advanced training from the Hypnotherapy Academy of America in Albuquerque New Mexico, in the most comprehensive program in the world. Martha is also certified as a Practitioner of Ericksonian Hypnosis by NLP New York & the New Mexican Connection for Whole Brain Communication.
During the Accelerated Healing and Pain Control of the Medical Hypnosis Module, for Martha’s Clinical Hypnotherapy Certification at the Hypnotherapy Academy of America, Dr. Robert Sapien, MD, CMS-CHt was on staff as a practical skills coach and medical hypnosis specialist. Dr. Sapien uses the techniques he learned at the Academy during every shift in the University of New Mexico emergency room where he is Director of Emergency Pediatric Medicine.
